Perhaps you have not considered engaging a professional toastmaster for your wedding reception. Possibly you may feel that the presence of such a formally dressed Master of Ceremonies is ‘over the top’. However, the modern day Toastmaster has the ability to adapt to each situation and can be as formal or informal as you wish or as the situation demands. Although this may be the first time that you have arranged a wedding reception, your Toastmaster has an immense wealth of knowledge and experience. This is at your disposal from the moment the booking of your Toastmaster is confirmed. David is a well known and highly respected Toastmaster throughout Southern England. His advisory role when first engaged will be by telephone, E-mail or letter and will include if required useful advice on the three traditional speeches and toasts as well as advice for the Bride if she should also wish to speak. He will explain how he organises a bridal receiving line so that it takes minimum time without it being rushed. He will discuss the most suitable time for the ceremony of cutting the wedding cake. Approximately four to eight weeks before the wedding day, David likes to meet the parents of the bride, together with the bride and bridegroom, to discuss and plan the precise format for the day, including the arrangements if the wedding is to be a civil ceremony. Following this meeting, David can provide a detailed report confirming exactly what has been agreed if required so that everyone is aware of your arrangements. Should the need arise, though, the plan can easily be fine tuned right up to the day before the wedding. David will arrive early at the venue and carry out preliminary checks. Liaise with photographer / Videographer and assist during the photographic session. Receive and direct your guests. Receive and escort the Bride and Bridegroom on arrival. Be on hand to deal with any small incidents, emergencies or problems which may occur with the objective of leaving you all free to enjoy your day the way it should be. |
